BACKSTAGE
The art of designing exceptional jewelry is grounded in the ability to make unique connections.Every design has its own history that brings together my own personal memories and my love for fashion and jewelry.
My inspiration comes from trying and testing new ideas after listening to a new song , after observing people in the streets , how they are dressed and how they move, after being present to everything that is happening around me.
This gives me the energy to continuously explore designs that are versatile. Designs that I am able to wear in the office or at a rock concert.
Once the sketching is done it’s when I start to sculpt the three-dimensional form. I use wax to carve my designs as it gives me a lot of creative freedom to play around with the forms.
Wax carving is much like sculpture but on a jewellery scale and it is a process that I believe brings you closer to the craftmanship of jewellery making.
My design process is very organic and every piece comes to life little by little. Starting from the sketch board with an abstract idea it is where I have the opportunity to have some fun by testing different things. It will start from a doodle and through time it will develop to a solid and clear image of a piece.
Every piece is unique, slightly different from the previous one as from the next one.
